Straining or crushing injury
may occur from improperly
lifting machine or some of
its parts. To reduce this risk,
get help from other people
and use a forklift (or other
lifting equipment) rated for
weight of this machine.

3. Hang sling from forklift fork and place it under
headstock, as shown in Figure 10. DO NOT
place sling over any controls or against any
components that may be damaged from the
force required for lifting.
4. Unbolt machine from pallet. Have an assis-
tant on the ground steady machine to prevent
it from swinging and lift it slightly off the pallet
with forklift.
5. Carefully place machine onto workbench or
optional stand.
6. Mount machine to workbench following
instructions in Bench Mounting on Page
17 or to stand following instructions included
with stand.

To lift machine and place it in position:
1. Place shipping crate next to workbench (or
stand) where machine will be placed.
2. Use vertical handwheel to raise headstock as
far as possible (see Figure 10). Lock head-
stock in place to avoid sudden shifts during
lifting.
The Model G0758 mill/drill can be mounted to a
workbench or the Model T26612 optional stand
(see Figure 9). The optional stand is specifically
designed for Model G0758 and comes with pre-
drilled mounting holes.
