2 Overview
2.1 Introduction
ZONESCAN INSTALL is Gutermann’s latest installation app for professional water leak detection
systems. In the past, ZONESCAN ALPHA systems were set up using ZONESCAN mobile on a Windows
Mobile PDA. This will be replaced by ZONESCAN INSTALL, running on Android phones or tablets. This
Android mobile app handles device setup, maintenance, and firmware updates.
2.2 Features
ZONESCAN INSTALL has the following features:
• Set up of Zonescan devices
• Firmware update of the devices
• Project maintenance of these devices
• Online or downloadable hi-res offline vector maps (for latter no mobile network and SIM card is
required)
• Overview of all the connected devices are shown on the map
• Edit, delete, replace or merge devices based on the selected device type
• Upload device settings of the complete project to ZSNet
3 First Steps
3.1 Charging
To charge the Communication Link, always use the included battery charger and cable. While charging,
the red LED blinks. When the Link is fully charged, the LED switches off.
