6. OTHER SETTINGS
6.1 Adjusting the fineness of the grind
You can adjust the fineness of the grind to suit your taste and
the roast level of your coffee by turning the adjustment knob
in the coffee bean container.
The dots on the adjustment knob indicate the fineness of the
grind: The machine offers 5 different grinds. When the grinder
is grinding the coffee beans, you can turn the control knob to
the desired fineness when making coffee.
Fine grind: to extract maximum flavour and get
a stronger coffee. The finer the grind, the stronger or even
bitter the coffee.
Large grind: for a mild cup and a coffee with slightly
more acidic notes. For a well-balanced coffee, it is recom-
mended that you set the grind to about 3.
WARNING: The grinder must be grinding when you turn the
knob, otherwise it may be damaged.
PROCEDURE
1. Remove the lid (8).
2. Select your beverage.
3. When you hear the grinder start, gently turn the knob to
select the desired fineness of the grind.
6.2 Selecting the mode
The machine has several different settings: the default mode,
ECO mode and fast mode. In ECO mode, the machine saves
energy. In fast mode, the user can prepare a coffee faster than
in the default mode (without pre-brewing/pre-infusion of the
coffee*).
