7. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
• The machine is not working.
The machine is not powered.
• Connect the machine to the mains
and press the ON/OFF button.
• Check the connection and the plug.
• No response, or delayed response
for repeated attempts to press a
function key on the control panel.
• Electromagnetic interference
is affecting the machine.
• The panel is dirty.
• Unplug in the machine. Turn the
machine back on after a few
minutes.
• Clean the panel with a soft cloth
(microfibre).
• The coffee is not hot enough.
• The cup is too cold.
• The percolation unit is too cold.
• Preheat the cup with the Hot Water
function or any other means at your
disposal.
• Run a manual rinse cycle before
starting your coffee to warm up the
system.
• Coffee does not come out of one
of the nozzles.
• The nozzles are clogged.
• Clean the coffee nozzles using the
Hot Water function and a soft cloth
(microfibre).
• The first cup of coffee is not good
(too diluted).
• The first revolution of the grinder
did not supply the brewing unit with
enough coffee.
• Throw away the coffee. The following
coffees will always be of good quality.
• The coffee has no crema. • The coffee beans are not fresh. • Change the coffee beans.
• The touch-sensitive control buttons
are not sensitive.
• The buttons were not touched on
their touch-sensitive area.
• Press the bottom half of the touch
button (icon) while facing the
machine. The touch-sensitive part of
the button is located in the lower half
of the icon.
• The machine takes too long to heat
up.
• There is too much scale.
• Descale the appliance according
to the self-cleaning – descaling
instructions.
• No light indicates that the water
tank has been removed or that the
water level in the tank is low.
• Water has leaked into the tank
connector area.
• Wipe off the water around the tank
connector with clean kitchen roll.
• The internal drip tray is filled with
water.
• The coffee powder is ground too
finely and is blocking the water
outlet.
• Adjust the fineness of coffee grind to
the coarsest dot during the grinding
process.
• The coffee flows slowly, or drip by
drip.
