Connecting a DC power cord
Connecting a DC power cord for an F1070, F1080, or F1090 firewall
1. Correctly orient the DC power cord connector with the power receptacle on the power module,
and insert the connector into the receptacle.
The receptacle is foolproof. If you cannot insert the connector into the receptacle, re-orient the
connector rather than use excessive force to push it in.
2. Fasten the captive screws on the power cord connector with a flathead screwdriver to secure
the power cord connector.
3. Use a cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle.
4. Connect the other end of the power cord to a DC power source.

Connecting a high-voltage DC power cord for an F1090
firewall
Only the F1090 firewall supports high-voltage DC power cords.
The connection procedure is similar for high-voltage DC power cords and AC power cords. For
information about connecting a high-voltage DC power cord, see "Connecting an AC power cord for
an F1090 firewall."
