Summary of Method
The FerroZine
®
Iron Reagent forms a purple-colored complex with trace
amounts of iron in samples that are buffered to a pH of 3.5. This method is
applicable for determining trace levels of iron in chemical reagents and glycols
and can be used to analyze samples containing magnetite (black iron oxide) or
ferrites. Test results are measured at 562 nm.
