5.9 Traction drive
The axle gear is a gear train running
in an
oil bath.
The oil to be filled comprises 2.6 li-
ters of SAE 90 category gear oil, also
refer to Section
4.
An oil change should be performed
every 250 operating hours, once a
year at a minimum. This can be car-
ried out within the scope of regular
main
tenance by an authorized ser-
vice center, refer to Section 5.3.2.
The oil drain bolt is at
the bottom of
the gearbox. It is provided with an Al-
len screw.
The inspection hole/filling neck for
the g
ear oil is located on the front of
the gearbox at the top.
Do not spill the oil; if you do,
clear it up and dispose of it ac-
cording to legal requirements.

5.10 Wheels
The first control of the wheel nuts
(Fig
. 32/1) must take place after 100
operating hours and subsequently
every 200 hours.
The tightening torque for the wheel
nuts i
s 140 Nm.
5.10.1 Changing the rear wheels
To change the rear wheels, the Ha-
komatic B1050 must be jacked up on
the right or left side.
The contact points for the jack (lifting
force: 2.
0 t) are on the frame in front
of the rear wheels.
5.10.2 Changing the front wheel
To change the front wheel, the jack
must be positioned at the front, cen-
tered to the front frame of the vehicle.
