When Burst is enabled, press Source to select "Internal", "External" or "Manual". The default
setting is "Internal".
Internal Trigger
When internal trigger is selected, the generator can only output N cycle burst and the burst
frequency is determined by the "Burst Period".
External Trigger
When external trigger is selected, the generator can output N cycle, infinite or gated burst. The
generator receives the trigger signal from the [Sync/Mod/Trig] connector at the front panel. A
burst will be generated once the connector receives a TTL pulse with specified polarity.
To set the TTL pulse polarity, press Slope to select "Positive" or "Negative" and the default setting
is "Positive".
Manual Trigger
When manual trigger is selected, the generator can output N cycle or infinite burst. A burst will be
generated from the corresponding channel (if currently turned on) once you press Trigger at the
front panel. If the corresponding channel is not turned on, the trigger will be ignored.
7.6 Gate Polarity
Gate polarity is only available in gated burst mode. The generator will output burst when the gated
signal at the [Sync/Mod/Trig] connector at the front panel is "High Level" or "Low Level".
When Burst is enabled, press Type (to "Gate") -> Polarity (to "Positive" or "Negative"). The
default is "Positive".
