**Prior to beginning the replacement of the crank handle assembly-
for safety reasons be sure the head, foot and the entire mattress
platform (using the Hi-Lo System for beds & cribs that have this feature)
of the bed/crib are all in the lowest position.**
To replace a crank handle assembly, it is recommended to remove the entire elevating
assembly that needs the crank handle from the bed/crib fi rst.

Bed
First, remove the two bolts on either side of the Yoke at the foot end of the crib/bed for the
elevating assembly in need of a new crank handle.

The Elevating Assembly is
made up of the Crank
Handle, Grey Sleeve and
Painted Pull Tube.
Next, remove the bolts on the other end of the elevating assembly near the middle of the
crib/bed. This will allow the elevating assembly to be taken to a workbench or place
where the handle can be changed.
