Chair / Scooter Preparation
ANCHOR U-BOLTS
Use U-Bolts with Power Chairs or Scooter that do
not have a center seat post.
For power chairs or scooters without a center seat
post, the seat is normally attached to a tubular frame.
Install the U-bolts, two on each side, to the frame as
shown. [Figure 28-1]
Ensure that the loop extends to the outside of the
chair so the user can attach the strap hooks. [Figure
28-2]
U-bolt placement will dier among models and
manufacturers. Place the U-bolts towards the center
of the seat if possible. Due to dierent seat types, you
may be forced to install the U-bolts more towards
the front or rear of the seat, but we recommend
attaching as close as possible to the center of the
seat.
