! THE TOP TETHER MUST BE USED AT ALL TIMES WHEN
USING CHILD RESTRAINT IN HARNESS MODE. Using
your child restraint with the Top Tether strap properly

may reduce the chance and severity of injury or death to
your child in the event of a sudden stop or crash.
All UAS seang posions have Top Tether anchors. Check
your vehicle owner’s manual for Top Tether anchor
locaons. If your vehicle is not equipped with a Top
Tether anchor, it may be possible to have one installed.
Contact your vehicle dealership or a cered mechanic
for the proper anchor locaon and installaon.
USING TOP TETHER
3. Buckle the vehicle seat belt. The
vehicle seat belt MUST NOT be
twisted.
To engage vehicle seat belt retractor:
4. Pull out the full length of the seat
belt (unl you cannot pull out any
more slack). This locks the retractor.
5. Tighten vehicle seat belt by
placing your knee on the seat
base and by using your full weight
to push the child restraint down
❸ as you simultaneously release
the extra belt length unl seat
belt is taunt and has no slack ❹.
6. The locked seat belt retractor
will not allow you to add any
length to the belt unl you
unbuckle the seat belt.

7. Secure the top of the child restraint using the top
tether strap (see secon “Using Top Tether”).


