Temperature Probe
InfoCaster supports the Sensorsoft Thermometer, which is a optional temperature probe for monitoring the
temperature of a remote location from your system.
Connect the

Probe
The temperature probe connects to your system with a COM port extension
cable. Connect the cable from the RJ-45 COM port on the probe to the DB-9
COM port on your system
The cable for the temperature probe is available in various lengths, to a
maximum length of 1000 ft (304.8 meters).

If you require a cable extension for your temperature probe, it is recommended
that you use a category 5 extension supplied by the Sensorsoft temperature
probe manufacturer.
The Sensorsoft part number is C2000-x where x is the length of the cable in
feet, to a maximum of 1000 feet.
