InfoCaster R2100 Hardware Installation Manual
Output Display
Before you start using the InfoCaster program, you should set up your output display. The available output
options depend on your system setup. InfoCaster R2100 systems support both NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
graphics cards and ATI Radeon graphics cards X1600, X1650, or better.
If you are unsure what graphics card is installed in your system, you can right-click on the Windows desktop
to reveal either the NVIDIA Control Panel or the Catalyst Control Center option from the right-click menu.
The following procedures detail how to set up the preview display for both NVIDIA and ATI graphics cards.
Display Output
Options
Single Head Output
Single head output is used to display a player’s output on a single monitor.
Instead of connecting a second output device to the output card in your player
system, you can simply use the player’s monitor as your output monitor.
The output card does not need to be specially configured for single head
output.
Note: Once your player has started playback in single head mode you will be
unable to return to the desktop without shutting down InfoCaster. If you
need to switch back to the desktop at any time press the
CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+HOME key combination.
TV Out, Spanning, Edit & Playback, or Multi Head Output
To configure the output card for Spanning, Edit & Playback, or Multi Head
output, use the NVIDIA Control Panel or the ATI Catalyst Control Center.
TV Out displays the player output on an external NTSC or PAL monitor.
Note: InfoCaster does not support TV Out output on NVIDIA hardware.
Spanning output is used to display output across two monitors attached to
a single output card. Only one InfoCast can be displayed at a time.
Edit & playback output allows you to edit InfoCasts on one monitor and
display them on the other. Only one InfoCast can be displayed at a time.
If you have the Multi Head option, use this when you want to operate
multiple players on a single system. Each player instance displays its
output on a separate monitor. With this option two InfoCasts can be
displayed at the same time.
