6.4.3.2 Operational Setup and Adjustment
A two PA cabinet system that has one phase and gain unit. Select Monitor Reject Load 1
on the “Output” screen (page) of the GUI and adjust front panel PHASE for minimum
power. Then adjust GAIN for minimum reject power. Repeat phase and gain again,
checking for further improvement. The reject power should be one percent or less when
nulled. Any red LEDs illuminated indicate end of the control range and troubleshooting is
required.
A three cabinet PA system is adjusted in a similar manner, the phase and gain of the pair
A-B is set first, monitoring reject load 1 and once that null is found, the AB/C is nulled
by monitoring reject load 2.
A four cabinet system requires a null of cabinets AB while monitoring reject load 1, then
a nulling of cabinets CD while monitoring reject load 2. The final step is to null the pairs
of PA cabinets AB versus CD while monitoring reject load 3.
