3.11.1 Troubleshooting Tips
1. When using DHCP, connection problems can occur if the computer fails to
release it old IP address. To check this: (Do not type the quote marks)
a. Open a DOS Prompt and type “ipconfig” and press enter. This
should return an IP address in the range of 192.168.217.1 to
192.168.217.49. If not, then in the same DOS window type “ipconfig/
release” and press enter. Then type “ipconfig/renew” and press
enter.
b. Type “ipconfig” again to verify an address has been issued in the
range given above.
