4.3 Firmware update via Ethernet
We recommend that you update the QuantumX firmware
and software on your PC at regular intervals, since it is
permanently optimized and upgraded with new functions.
Therefore, please check HBM's website regularly. We
recommended updating when
S You have purchased a new module and want to use it
in a network with existing modules
S You have purchased or automatically received a new
software version
Tip: Benefit from concluding a software maintenance
contract.
Use the QuantumX Assistant as follows to determine
which firmware version your module is working with:
S Right-click on a module Details -> System paramet
ers or create a system overview (all modules, inclu
ding PC)
S Compare your version with the current firmware
version on the Internet under:
www.hbm.com\quantumX

S Download the latest QuantumX system CD and the
corresponding firmware package from HBM's website.
S Store the firmware in the Firmware Updater's down
load directory (in most cases: C:\Pro
gramme\HBM\QuantumX Firmware Update\Down
load). A new path can also be set in the software.
