FASTENING SCREWS OF SNOW BLOWER
(SNOWBLOWER = OPTIONAL ACCESSORY)
The spiral is fastened to the drive shaft by shear bolts (fig. 31A). This bolts can be broken while
strong resistance of spiral caused by e.g. wedged stones, metal pipe or bar or similar objects.
The snow blower is protected hereby from more serious damage. These bolts must be replaced
only by original spare bolts. Remove cut bolts, clean connecting flats and lubricate them by
grease. Use new original parts and nuts for replacement of broken ones.
CAUTION! A
NEVER replace the auger shear pins with anything other than authorized part.
Replacement shear pins. Any damage to the auger gearbox or other components
as a result of failing to do so will NOT be covered by your snow thrower’s warranty.
CAUTION! A
Always turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug before performing any
service on the machine. Wait till all moving parts are completely stopped.
REPLACEMENT OF SKID SHOES
(SNOWBLOWER = OPTIONAL ACCESSORY)
Screw out nuts, washers and nuts.
Replace skid shoes on both sides of collection drum.
Assemble new skid shoes and adjust them to the desired height.
INSPECTION OF CONTROL CABLE OF COUPLING
Coupling lever push forward. The cable gets slightly slacked. When is the lever released the cable
must be neither slacked nor tensed. If you find some play, it is necessary to adjust and tense
the cable. When the cable is correctly tensed the lever must touch the handle when pushed. In
different case is necessary to adjust the cable.
ENGINE MAINTENANCE
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Make sure the engine is off before you begin any maintenance or repairs. This will eliminate
several potential hazards:
- Carbon monoxide poisoning from engine exhaust.
- Be sure there is adequate ventilation whenever you operate the engine.
- Burns from hot parts. Let the engine and exhaust system cool before touching.
- Injury from moving parts. Do not run the engine unless instructed to do so.
To reduce the possibility of fire or explosion, be careful when Working around gasoline.
use only a nonflammable solvent, not gasoline, to clean parts. Keep cigarettes, sparks and
flames away from all fuel related parts.
