Why is the measured value unstable on my Hioki BT3563 Measuring Instruments?
    • E
      Elizabeth RamirezAug 9, 2025
Unstable measured values on your Hioki Measuring Instruments can arise from several factors: * If you're using a two-terminal connection, switch to a four-terminal connection, as contact resistance may affect readings. * Metallic objects near the probes can cause instability; measure away from them. * Signal noise can interfere; twist cables, minimize loop areas, and shield/ground cables. * If using multiple instruments, stagger the timing of readings using the measurement current pulse output function. Ensure that the probes' forked loops are not overlapping and avoid stacking the instruments. * Taking measurements too close to the instruments can also cause instability; maintain a distance of at least 20 cm.

What to do if keys do not operate on Hioki Measuring Instruments?
    • W
      William HerreraAug 17, 2025
If the keys on your Hioki Measuring Instruments are unresponsive, there are a few potential causes: * The unit might be in key-locked state. Disable the key-lock function. * The instrument could be remotely controlled via GP-IB. Set GP-IB to local. * Similarly, it might be under remote control through RS-232C. Set RS-232C to local.
