Current I flows from r2 through measurement target resistance R0 to r1. The
high input impedance of the voltmeter allows only negligible current flow
through r3 and r4. So the voltage drop across r3 and r4 is practically nil, and
voltage E across the measurement terminals and voltage E0 across test object
resistance R0 are essentially equal, allowing test object resistance to be
measured without being affected by r1 to r4.
