Independently of the physical communication paths, the PTP provides logical
communication paths which you define by setting up PTP subdomains. Sub-
domains are used to form groups of clocks that are time-independent from
the rest of the domain. Typically, the clocks in a group use the same commu-
nication paths as other clocks.
