his setting only needs to be set once, but must be
done again if you use this DVD/VCR in another
area by moving it.
1 Press MENU.
2 Press Arrow (o/p) to
select
INITIAL, then press
Arrow (
B).
3 Press Arrow (o/p) to
select
GUIDE CHANNEL,
then press Arrow (
B).
4 Press Arrow (o/p) to
select the relevant mode.
Then press Arrow (
B).
To set the guide channel
individually, select MANUAL.
Then, press Arrow (B) and continue with step 5.
To set all the guide channels to AV1, AV2, or AV3
select AV 1 , AV 2 , or AV 3 . Then press MENU
to exit.
If you are recording from a Digital Satellite or
Terrestrial Set Top Box the channel should be set to
AV2 (or is connected to).
5 Press Arrow (o/p) repeatedly to select the
position number, then press Arrow (
B).
6 Press Number,or

o/p)
to enter guide channel
number, then press
Arrow (
B).

Now, compare the channel numbers you have written
in the GUIDE Channel and VCR Channel columns.
You must set all of these channel numbers that don't
match using the following procedure before you pro-
gramme the automatic timer recording using the
ShowView system.

You can programme the timer using the SHOWVIEW
programming numbers that are printed in TV guide
magazine. You can set eight programmes to record.
Use the remote control for the this procedure.
Insert a cassette tape with its erase prevention tab in
place. (If necessary, rewind or fast forward the tape
to the point at which you want to begin recording.)
1 Press SHOWVIEW .
If you have not set the clock yet,
CLOCK setting menu appears.
If so, follow the steps outlined in the Setting the
Clock section. Then, set the timer.
2 Press Number to set the
S
HOWVIEW number of the
programme you want to
record.
Press Arrow (s) to go back one digit from current
digit while you set the SHOWVIEW number.
3 Select once, daily, everyday, or weekly
recording.
For once-only recording:
Press SHOWVIEW.
For daily recording: To record a TV programme at
the same time on the same channel from Monday
through Friday. Press DAILY/WEEKLY repeatedly to
select DAILY (MO-FR), then, press SHOWVIEW .
For everyday recording:To record a TV programme
at the same time on the same channel every day.
Press DAILY/WEEKLY repeatedly to select DAILY
(MO-SU), then, press SHOWVIEW.
For weekly recording: To record a TV programme
at the same time on the same channel every week.
Press DAILY/WEEKLY repeatedly to select WEEK-
LY, then, press SHOWVIEW.
Note
If the SHOWVIEW number is not available, it will be
cleared automatically when you press SHOWVIEW.
Enter the correct SHOWVIEW number and press
SHOWVIEW again.

Press Arrow (s) to go back one digit from current
digit.
You can select guide channels 1-255.
To select channels from 1-9, first press 0 twice,
and then 1 to 9.
To select channels from 10 to 99, first press 0
once, and then press the last two digits. (To select
channel 80, first press 0 then press 8 and 0).
To set another, repeat steps 5 to 6.
7 Press MENU to exit.
