To
charge
the
battery
attached
to
the
AC
adapter/charger
(rapid
charging)
Attach
the
battery
directly
to
the
AC
adapter/charger
to
charge
it
rapidly.
1.
Connect
the
AC
adapter/charger
plug
to
an
AC
outlet.
The
POWER
indicator
lights.
2.
Slide
the
battery
in
the
direction
of
the
arrow
as
shown
in
the
figure
to
attach
it.
Charging
the
battery
will
start.
The
CHARGE
indicator
lights
as
shown
in
the
table
below
as
charging
progresses.
The
CHARGE
indicator
goes
out
when
the
battery
is
fully
charged.

NOTE:
When
fully
charged,
the
battery
should
provide
50-60
minutes
of
operating
time
(depending
on
how
much
you
use
zoom
and
pause).
To
charge
the
battery
loaded
in
the
camera/recorder
You
can
charge
the
battery
while
it
is
loaded
in
the
camera/recorder
after
recording
is
finished,
etc.

a
battery
in
the
camera/recorder.

1.
Set
the
OPERATE
switch
of
the
camera/
recorder
to
"OFF".
2.
Connect
the
external
power
adapter
plug
to
the
DC
OUTPUT
jack
on
the
AC
adapter/charger.
3.
Attach
the
other
end
of
the
external
power
adapter
to
the
installation
section
at
the
bot¬
tom
of
the
camera/recorder.
4.
Connect
the
AC
adapter/charger
plug
to
an
AC
outlet.
The
in-camera
battery
charge
indicator
lights
(green)
during
charging.
When
charging
is
finished,
the
indicator
goes
out.

NOTES:
The
CHARGE
indicator
on
the
AC
adapter/
charger
does
not
light.
Charging
is
not
done
when
the
OPERATE
switch
on
the
camera/recorder
is
set
to
"CAM"
or
"VIDEO".
When
fully
charged,
the
battery
should
pro¬
vide
50-60
minutes
of
operating
time
(depend¬
ing
on
how
much
you
use
zoom
and
pause).
The
camera/recorder
becomes
warm
during
charging,
but
this
is
normal.
If
the
battery
is
left
in
the
camera/recorder,
the
battery
power
will
decrease
even
when
the
camera/recorder
is
not
used.
Do
not
leave
the
battery
in
the
camera/recorder
after
charging
it.
Be
sure
to
remove
it.
