CHECKING THE BATTERY PACK
When the " «" indication in the electronic
viewfinder appears and flashes while the video
camera/recorder is operated with the battery
pack (provided), it indicates that the battery
charge is insufficient. Charge it or replace it with
a charged battery pack.
NOTE: When the camera/recorder is turned on, the
battery level indicator "a " is displayed in the
viewfinder indicating the condition of camera/
recording battery. When the battery is fully
charged, " a " is displayed.
After several minutes, the symbol will change to
" ". When the battery is very near empty, the
symbol will change to " « " and start blinking.
You should find an alternative power source or
recharge the battery before continuing to use
your camera/recorder.

CHARGING THE BATTERY _
NOTES:
1. Charge the battery before using it. A battery
that is not fully charged can be used according
to the time it has been charged.
2. Charge the battery at an ambient temperature
of 10°C—30°C.
3. If the usable time of the camera/recorder
becomes shorter with a fully charged battery,
the life of the battery is ended.
4. Do not short the battery's terminals.
5. Do not disassemble the battery.
6. Do not throw the battery into a fire.
7. T he battery has a charge check mark. Use this
to determine whether it is charged or not.
When the battery is unloaded from the came¬
ra/recorder, it has no mark, but the battery
removed from the AC adapter/charger has a
colour mark on it.
8. D o not use a battery with a crack or any abnor¬
malities in its appearance.
