INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF CASSETTES
Before inserting or removing a cassette, be sure to connect the power source. When a power source is
connected, the cassette can be ejected and removed whether the power is on or off.
■ Insertion
1. O p en the case.
Refer to "WATER-RESISTANT" on page 8.
4. Press the cassette holder.
Press the section of the holder marked
"PUSH" until a click is heard.
The cassette holder will go down automati¬
cally. Do not push the holder down, or you
may damage your camera/recorder.
NOTE; The cassette holder will temporarily
stop in the middle when it goes down to the
regular closed position.This is to detect moist¬
ure and does not indicate a fault.
2. Press the EJECT button.
The cassette holder will rise and the cassette
door will open.
3. Insert a cassette so the transparent window is
toward you and the arrow toward the cassette
holder. Slide the cassette into cassette holder
as far as it will go.
NOTE: If "TAPE" flashes in the viewfinder,
remove the cassette and check that the tape is not
damaged, is not slack or no dust adheres to it,
etc. After making sure that there is no abnor¬
mality, reinsert the cassette. If "TAPE" reap¬
pears, see "TROUBLESHOOTING" on page 45.
Press the EJECT button and remove the cassette.
