Operation via base vehicle
Duringthedrive,thebatteryofthebasevehicletakesoverthesupply
ofthe12Vdevicesifcontact9ofthe13-polesocketsystemonthe
basevehiclehasbeenequipped.
Usethemainswitchonthecontrolpaneltoswitcho12Voperation
(whenthetrailerishookedtothecar)onlongerstopoversandbreaks
toconservepowerinthecar'sbattery.
Whenrunningon12volts,therefrigeratoronlyfunctionsifthemotor
ofthebasevehicleisturnedon.Contacts10and11ofthe13-pole
socketsystem.
Alwaysswitchotheelectricconnectionbetweenthe
basevehicleandthecaravanbeforehookingthecara-
vanuptoalow-voltagesupply.
Ifoperationiscarriedoutviathebasevehicle,amaxi-
mumof2electricaldevicesinthecaravancanbeswit-
chedatthesametimeusingthecontrolpanel(exception:
theself-sucientpackagehasbeeninstalled).
Thischeckshouldbecarriedoutatleastonceamonthtoensurethat
theresidualcurrentdevicefunctionsperfectlyincasethereshouldbe
a fault in the current.
When the FI switch has been set o (even when te-
sting) the customised settings in all mains-operated
devicesarelostandthedefaultsettingsmadebythe
manufacturerwillapplyagain.
Devicesthatsetoduringoperationshowthatthereisadefect;they
mustbecheckedand/orrepairedbyanelectricalengineeringspecialist.
Iftheautomaticcircuitbreakerhasgoneo(otherthaniftheTest
functionhasbeenused)youmustwaitashortwhilebeforeswit-
ching it on again.
-Iftheautomaticcircuitbreakerremainsactive,therewasonlyan
overload.
-Iftheautomaticcircuitbreakergoesoabruptlyagain,thereis
either a short circuit or an earth fault.
