Water Separator Inspection and
Service
The water separator is located under
No. 6 cylinder ignition coil. Water
accumulation in the water separator
can cause loss of power or hard
starting. Check the water separator
periodically. Clean it or consult with
an authorized Honda Marine dealer
for cleaning.
<Cleaning>
1. Remove the engine cover (p. 63).
2. Remove the plug maintenance
cover (p. 70).
3. Remove the cover under the idle
port.
4. Remove the left under cover by
removing the 6 × 17 mm special
bolts.

Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive.
You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine and keep heat,
sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
