2.4.3.4 System Check
The buttons referred to in the following procedure are located on the radar control panel or radar
indicator.
A. Press the Wx button until the MAINT FUNCTIONS menu is again displayed. See figure 2-
9A.
B. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer on the display to DIAGNOSTICS.
C. Press the WxA button to display the DIAGNOSTICS menu. See figure 2-9B.
D. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer on the display to ANTENNA
CLEARANCE.
E. Press the WxA button to display the ANTENNA CLEARANCE option. See figure 2-9C.
F. Press the WxA button to start the antenna scan. The antenna will move to each of the ex-
treme positions to determine that there is no interference with antenna movement and all
scan motors are working properly.
If there are any scan motor problems or DIP switch #2 is in the off position, this will be annun-
ciated on the display as in figure 2-9D.
G. Press the Wx button until the DIAGNOSTICS menu is again displayed. See figure 2-9E.
H. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer on the display to BUILT IN TEST.
I. Press the WxA button to display the BUILT IN TEST menu. See figure 2-9F.
J. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer on the display to POWER LEVELS.
K. Press the WxA button to display the POWER LEVELS page. See figure 2-9G. All voltages
shown in the right column should be within 10% of the values shown in the left column.
L. Press the Wx button to return to the BUILT IN TEST menu.
M. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer to MEMORY STATUS. See figure
2-9H.
N. Press the WxA button to display the MEMORY STATUS page. See figure 2-9I.
O. Verify each item shows PASS under the STATUS column. If an item shows FAIL, this in-
dividual test can rerun by pressing the GND MAP button to move the pointer to that item.
Pressing the WxA button will initiate the test. If FAIL is still displayed, further investigation
is necessary.
P. Press the Wx button until the DIAGNOSTICS menu is again displayed. See figure 2-9J.
Q. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer on the display to FAULT HISTORY.
R. Press the WxA button to display the FAULT HISTORY page. See figure 2-9K. No faults
should be displayed. If any are shown, further investigation is necessary.
S. Save Configuration
1. Press the Wx button until the MAINT FUNCTIONS menu is displayed.
2. Press the GND MAP button to move the select pointer to SAVE SETUP DATA.
