N. ROLL OFFSET
1. Set the tilt table for 0
°
pitch and roll. Press the GND MAP button to display the
ROLL OFFSET page (see figure 2-17).
2. Press the WxA to display brackets around the ROLL value. Adjust the TILT knob
for a ROLL value of 0.0 ± 1.0
°
. Press the WxA button to deselect the brackets.
3. Set the tilt table to 10
°
roll right. The value should be 10.0R ± 1.0
°
.
4. Set the tilt table to 10
°
roll left. The value should be 10.0L ± 1.0
°
.
5. Set the tilt table to 0
°
roll. The value should be 0.0 ± 1.0
°
.
6. Proceed to Step O.
O. PITCH GAIN
1. Press the GND MAP button to obtain the PITCH GAIN page on the display (see
figure 2-14). Set the TILT knob for a value of 0.0.
2. Set the tilt table for 5
°
pitch up.
3. Press the WxA button again to display brackets around the PITCH value. Adjust
the TILT knob for a reading of 10.0U ± 1.0
°
in the PITCH field. Pressing the WxA
button again will remove the brackets.
4. Set the tilt for 5
°
PITCH DOWN. Repeat Step 3.
5. Proceed to Step P.
P. ROLL GAIN
1. Set the tilt table to 0
°
pitch and roll. Press the GND MAP button to obtain the ROLL
GAIN page on the display (see figure 2-16). Set the TILT knob for a value of 0.0.
2. In determining the tilt of the table use the standard rate turn for the aircraft being
aligned.
3. Press the WxA button again to display brackets around the ROLL value. Adjust the
TILT knob for a reading of 10.0R ± 1.0
°
in the ROLL field. Pressing the WxA button
again will remove the brackets.
4. Set the tilt table for a standard rate turn for the aircraft being aligned. Repeat Step
3.
5. Proceed to Step S.
Q. ARINC 429 PITCH OFFSET
1. Set the tilt table for 0
°
pitch and roll. Press the GND MAP button to display the 429
PITCH OFFSET page (see figure 2-18).
2. Press the WxA to display brackets around the PITCH value. Adjust the TILT knob
for a PITCH value of 0.0 ± 1.0
°
. Press the WxA button to deselect the brackets.
