USE THE PHONE
You can use the phone feature to make and receive phone calls as well as transmit
data through wireless wide-area networks (WWANs).
Note: Phone features are only supported on CT30 XP WWAN models (CT30P-L1N).
About the Phone
Phone features on the computer include one speaker and three microphones for
noise cancellation. You can also use a hands-free kit or headset that supports
Bluetooth® wireless technology.
On WWAN models the phone feature is enabled by default and supports most
cellular radio access technologies for voice and data connections around the
globe. These features are certified by PTCRB, GCF, and all major US carriers.
After you turn on the phone and activate service with your wireless carrier, you can
customize the phone features and network settings in the Network & internet
section of the Settings app.
A dedicated PTT button on the left side of the unit is provided for use with
applications that support push-to-talk (PTT) functionality.
Note: WWAN radios support Network Information and Time Zone (NITZ) messages to
automatically set the system time.
About the SIM Selection App
Use the SIM Selection app to configure the SIM slots on the mobile computer. On
WWAN models with both nano-SIM and eSIM, you can select which SIM is being
used (nano-SIM or eSIM) or if both SIMs are used in Dual SIM Dual Standby mode.
On WWAN models of the mobile computer, SIM identification for provisioning is:
SIM 1 = Removable nano-SIM card
SIM 2 = Embedded SIM
