56 CT30 XP Mobile Computer Series User Guide
Depending on your model configuration and use case, refer to one of the following
setups to provision your mobile computer.
Provision a nano-SIM Card on page 56
Provision eSIM on page 56
Provision Dual SIM Dual Standby on page 57
Provision a nano-SIM Card
Follow these steps if you are using a removable nano-SIM card to provision the
mobile computer.
Note: On CT30 XP WWAN models with an eSIM, you do not need to install a nano-SIM card
unless you want a dual carrier setup.
1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears.
2. Tap Power Off or Power > Power Off depending on your computer model.
3. Remove the battery from the computer. Refer to page 6.
4. Slide the nano-SIM card into the card slot. The nano-SIM card goes into the
bottom slot.
5. Install the battery. Refer to page 7.
6. Press the Power button to restart the mobile computer.
7. Follow the mobile provider’s instructions to complete the setup and activate the
phone.
Provision eSIM
Follow these steps if you are using the embedded SIM to provision the mobile
computer.
To connect to a mobile network using embedded SIM, the eSIM must be
provisioned by downloading and enabling an operational profile. Mobility Edge
devices use the Thales LPA (Local Profile Assistant) app to download carrier
profiles to the eSIM and manage the downloaded profiles.
