3.1 Plan for Engineering Station
3.1.1 Platform requirements
The SoftMaster is installed in the Engineering station. The following table lists the system requirements
for installing SoftMaster.

Hard disk At least 100 MB or more of space.
Monitor Monitor must have 1024 x 768 and higher

Operating System Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7
Only the RS-232C or USB port must be used while configuring the PLC for the first time (PLC without
any data). After the IP for FEnet module is configured the Ethernet option can be used for connecting
SoftMaster with PLC, provided the system has Ethernet port.

Refer to the ML200 CPU and SoftMaster User’s Guide for further information about installation.
3.1.2 Prerequisites for Installation
The PLC system is designed to withstand extreme climatic conditions. However, to ensure reliability
and stability ensure that the following conditions are considered.

Ensure that the following devices are available for the installation.
