3.5 Maintenance Inspections
Before performing any maintenance or lubrication services, follow the
Lockout/Tagout procedure in the Safety Instructions chapter to ensure that the
equipment is safe to work on. Failure to follow these instructions may result in
serious personal injury and/or equipment damage.
3.5.1 Drive Chain
The Pallet Accuglide ZoneFlex Accumulation Conveyor is equipped with a manually
adjustable take-up in the tail end section. Normal chain wear and elongation make it
necessary to adjust the take-up periodically. Adjust the take-up allowing the chain to
be snug, but not tight.
A properly tensioned chain should have just a slight bow in it as the return chain
goes onto the drive sprocket.
