Magnetic Type Lubricator Adjustment
1. Lockout/tagout the conveyor.
2. If required, add lubricant (10W SAE non-detergent) to the oil reservoir.
3. Make sure the ceramic magnetic strip is in full contact with the chain, and can slide
back and forth without binding. If the ceramic magnetic strip binds, the chain is too
dry.
4. If needed, adjust the lube nozzle until it is aimed directly toward the bottom of the
chain.
5. Place a piece of paper or a business card in front of the lube nozzle and push the
sensor sled towards the actuator ball.
If released air is heard, and oil quickly appears on the paper, oil is misting out of
the lube nozzle properly.
If no air is heard:
a. Make sure all tubing connections are tight.
b. Make sure the oil reservoir is full.
c. Make sure the shut-off is ON.
If no oil appears on the paper, hold the sensor sled against the actuator ball until
the 1/16-inch line to the lube nozzle is primed. Oil mist should be visible moving
through the line toward the lube nozzle.
