6. Place the thermal transfer ribbon roll between the rear ribbon holders. The
ribbon should come off of the roll as shown in the following illustration.
7. Insert an empty takeup core into a ribbon adapter.
8. Pull the ribbon over the printhead and place the end of the thermal transfer
ribbon over the empty takeup core as shown in the following illustration. You
can use tape to fasten the ribbon to the core.
