8. Locate the other end of the 6” SATA to LP4 female/male power cable adapter and connect it to the
power adapter cable inserted in slot 6.
9. Replace the cardholder and card retention arm, and ensure that the tab locks in its place.
10. Replace the workstation cover and place the workstation in the furniture using the appropriate
installation procedures. Refer to the section Planning.
5.3.3 Replace/add memory module
Refer to the section Memory configuration for information about memory module configuration.
Prerequisites
Perform all necessary procedures in section, Accessing the enclosure of the workstation.
1. Shut down the workstation.
2. Disconnect power from the workstation and disconnect the attached cables.
3. Remove the workstation from furniture.
4. Access the inside of the electronics enclosure.
5. Disconnect cables from the card being replaced.
WARNING
Memory is electrostatically sensitive. Use a grounding strap and grounded work surfaces and
equipment when handling these components. Store and transport parts only in electrostatically
safe containers.
