Cutting discs
The cutting discs in front of each tine cut harvest
residues or organic material.
Cutting discs with hydraulic cylinder
Maintenance
Bearings are oil-󰘰lled and therefore maintenance
free.
¾ Check the discs regularly for clearance, oil
leaks and free rotation.
Notes on cleaning
Mechanical seals are very sensitive if water has
entered and the machine is then parked over a
long period of time.
This can cause corrosion and both mechanical
seal rings may stick together. The mechanical
seal rings will then rotate around the O-ring and
damage it. Oil would leak out and the bearing
will be damaged after a short while.
¾ Therefore bearings must not be cleaned with
a high pressure cleaner.
¾ Before longer periods of rest the bearing loca-
tions should be sprayed with a rust dissolver.
NOTE
¾ Before returning to service turn the discs by
hand and check for free rotation.
Drill tines
The drill tines are simply and robustly designed.
They are guided by the square brackets and pre-
tensioned by the rubber elements and pressed
into the soil.

The tine
removes harvest residues from the seed rows
creates a furrow for a deep seed horizon.
The roller
guides the tine in the desired depth.
shapes an open furrow.
compacts the seed.
Principle of “open furrow”
Although the seed is placed at deeper soil layers
(furrow depth) it is only covered with soil to the
desired extent (drilling depth)

The furrow depth can be changed regardless of
the drilling depth and according to the moisture
condition of the soil between 2 cm and 10 cm.
