Adjusting the working
depth
WARNING
Hydraulic movements can lead to severe ac-
cidents and injuries.
Ask persons to leave the zone of the hydraulic
cylinders, tines and discs before operating the
hydraulics.
The working depth is determined by the coulter
pressure and the depth setting on the pressure
wheels.
The two settings must correspond to each other.
Aluminium clips
The aluminium clips are plugged over the piston
rods of hydraulic cylinders. They limit the retrac-
tion and extension of the piston rods.
Dierent aluminium clips
The thickness of the clips diers according to
colour:
Colour
blue red yellow black silver
Thick-
ness
7 mm 10 mm 19 mm 30 mm 50 mm
WARNING
Risk of injury on the hydraulic cylinders!
Limbs may be pinched or crushed by uninten-
tional retraction of the piston rods.
¾ When attaching or removing the clips the
machine must be parked with the parking
brake pulled.
During this time, nobody may be present in
the area of the tractor cab.
¾ Lock control units mechanically or electrically,
depending on the version.
¾ Make sure when placing or removing clips
that the control units are not operated by any
other person.
Coulter pressure
The three rows of tines are each connected to
a hydraulic cylinder via push rods. The tines are
thereby pre-loaded hydraulically on the rubber
elements.
Limiting lowering of the tines
Travel of the hydraulic cylinders can be limited
to prevent deeper lowering of the tines before
the coulter pressure is activated.
¾ Place aluminium clips on the front part of the
hydraulic cylinders.
Place as many clips that with active coulter
pressure control a travel of approx. 1 cm re-
mains at the front piston rod.
