h. Lift the panel and place it next to the display rear cover.
i. Lift the conductive tape (1) off the touch control board.
j. Disconnect the narrow cable from the ZIF connector (2) on the board.
k. Disconnect the two thicker cables from the reverse ZIF connectors (3) on the board.
l. Use tweezers to grasp the end of the stretchable tape that is installed under the board. While
turning the tweezers (4), wrap the tape around the tweezers as you continue to pull the tape
out from behind the board, and then remove the board.
NOTE: When replacing the touch control board or display panel, be sure to update the touch
firmware, which is available on the HP product support page.
The touch control board is available as spare part number N86629-001.
m. Remove the tape (1) from on top of the connector on the back of the display panel.
