This

is
used
to
simulate
both
an
in-1
and
adjacent
channel
signal.
The
signal
generator
is
first
tuned
in-channel

that
the
reference
can
be
set
for
the
adjacent
channel
power
measurement.
The
signal
generator
is
then
tuned
to
the
adjacent
channel
and
the
LO
shifted
to
measure
the
signal
generator.
The
output
level of
the
signal
generator
is
varied
to
exercise
different
combinations of
IF
gain
Testing
is
done
usinganHP8660asanexternalLOsource.
