Why is my HP Digital AlphaStation 255 Family target boot device not listed?

If the target boot device is not listed in the show device or show config (SRM), or in the AlphaBIOS display system configuration on your HP Desktop, check for loose cables and ensure all signal and power cable connections are secure. Also, verify that the SCSI drive jumpers are correctly set and that the SCSI bus is properly terminated. Refer to the device documentation for correct settings.
