Before removing the bottom cover, prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on
page 45).
Remove the bottom cover:
1. Loosen the ve Phillips captive screws that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
2. Use a nonmarking, nonconductive tool (1) to separate the rear edge of the bottom cover (2) from the
computer.
3. Remove the bottom cover (3) from the computer (2).
