3. Remove the connector board cable from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the connector board cable.

To remove the connector board, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the connector board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 45).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 45).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 47).
4. Remove the audio jack (see Audio jack on page 56).
5. Remove the connector board cable (see Connector board cable on page 57).
Remove the connector board:
1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (1) that secure the cable retainer and I/O bracket to the
computer.
2. Remove the cable retainer (2) and I/O bracket (3) from the computer.
The cable retainer and I/O bracket are included in the Bracket Kit, spare part number N09030-001.
