11. Lift the left side of the system board (1) until it rests at an angle.
12. Slide the system board (2) up and to the left at an angle to remove it.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.
Heat sink
To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations.

Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 45).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 45).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47).
4. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 59).
5. Remove the system board (see System board on page 72).
Remove the heat sink:
1. In the order indicated on the heat sink, loosen the four Phillips captive screws (1) that secure the heat sink
to the system board.
