Before removing the subwoofer, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 35).
5. Disconnect the battery.
6. Remove the USB board (see USB board on page 48).
Remove the subwoofer:
1. Disconnect the subwoofer cable (1) from the system board.
2. Remove the cable from the clips built into the fan (2).
3. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screw (3) that secures the subwoofer to the computer.
