Speakers (include left and right speakers, cables, and 2 rubber isolators) L96508-001
Before removing the speaker, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39), and then remove the following components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 41)
b. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 44)
c. Fan (see Fan on page 60)
d. System board (see System board on page 62)
Remove the speakers:
1. Release the WLAN antenna cables and the webcam module cable from the retention clips (1) built into the
speakers.
2. Release the display panel cable from the retention clips (2) built into the speakers.
3. Remove the speakers (3).
NOTE: When removing the speakers, make note of the location of the two rubber isolators (4). The
absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
