System board
NOTE: The system board spare park kit includes replacement thermal material.
Follow these steps to remove the system board:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 31).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 32), and then remove the following components:
a. Front bezel (see Front bezel on page 34)
b. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 39)
c. Drive cage (see Drive cage on page 35)
d. Shroud (see Fan shroud on page 43)
e. Fan-sink (see Fan-sink on page 44)
NOTE: When replacing the system board, be sure that the processor (see Processor on page 45)is
removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board.
3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
(1)Power supply P1 cableSpeaker cable
(2)Device power cable
(3)Power supply P2 cable
(4)Device data cables (three locations)
(5)Speaker cable
