Removal and replacement tools
In performing any hardware configuration procedures, you might need the following items:
System screwdriver (secured to the front panel door)
All hardware screws used in the server can be removed or fastened by using the system screwdriver.
Spare screws, located on the back side of the front panel door.
The following references and software tools might also be used:
IPMI Event Log
Diagnostics software
Server warnings and cautions
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow drives and internal
system components to cool before touching them.
CAUTION:
The server must always be operated with the system covers on. Proper cooling is not
achieved when the system covers are removed.
CAUTION: When installing hardware or performing maintenance procedures requiring access
to internal components, HP recommends that you first back up all server data to avoid loss.
