Open the DIMM slot latches.
5. Remove the DIMM.
6. Close the panel door.
7. Use the HP ProLiant MicroServer key to lock the panel door.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 6).
2. Place the server on a flat, level work surface.
3. Open the panel door (on page 6).
4. Locate an empty DIMM slot on the system board.
5. Open the DIMM slot latches.
CAUTION: The DIMM slots are structured to ensure proper installation. If you try to insert a DIMM
but it does not fit easily into the slot, you may have positioned it incorrectly. Reverse the
orientation of the DIMM and insert it again.
6. Install the memory module.
a. Completely open the holding clips securing the module.
b. Align the notch on the bottom edge of the memory module with the keyed surface of the DIMM slot,
and then fully press the memory module into the slot until the latches snap back into place.
