Next, indicate the depth of the first cut. Our example requires a depth of .290. Press “2”,
“9”, “0”, then press ENTER. You will see the following display:
Press start to make the cut. Notice that the CodeMax
®
stays in the cut position and the
cutter continues to spin. This allows you to widen the cut, if necessary, by using the space
commands. Press HOME (7) to ready the machine for the next cut.

Let’s quickly review the basic steps required:
1) Press “8” (>).
2) Set spacing numbers from shoulder to first cut, then press
ENTER.
3) Press start to activate spacing stepper motor.
4) Press “2” (up arrow).
5) Enter depth numbers.
6) Press start for the CodeMax
®
to make the cut.
7) Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 if the cut has to be widened. If the cut does not have to be
widened, press Home (7) to return to the home position.
