Memory options Memory is provided in kits per
CPU and kits must be the same
when multiple CPUs are used.
128 GB to 384 GB per CPU.
128 GB not available for VDI configurations.
Dual CPU configuration requires two memory
kits.
Power supply Two required, model based

requirements.
Two 800 W (limited configurations), or
Two 1600 W (200-240 VAC), or
Two 1800 - 2200 W (200-240 VAC).
Required devices per server PCI slot 1: Smart Array P408i-p Controller.
Media Module Adapter: Provides a 1 GbE
2-port interface for the HPE SimpliVity
Management network.
PCI slot 2: 10 GbE 2-port NIC for storage, HPE
SimpliVity Federation network, and optionally
HPE SimpliVity Management. An optional 4-
port 1 GbE NIC is available.
Expansion slots No PCI slots are available for expansion for the
HP SimpliVity 170 server.
The HPE SimpliVity 190 Server allows the
following option:
• PCI slot 3: GPU accelerator or one 10 GbE
NIC.
Remote server management iLO Integrated Lights-Out processor and network port for remote, out-of-band,
web-based management.
Front panel components
The front panel provides server controls, diagnostic indicators, and contains the data drives.
